the view

When you came into the room it felt like all the air went out. I was left with no oxygen and a moment of an exquisite view. A view only encountered a few times in a lifetime.

When you showed up everything stopped. Every atom around us made a pause, because that kind of beautiful radiation needed to be appreciated.
The glare in your eyes.
The smile you put on your face.
It felt a bit tortured, like an old soul trying to find someone alike.
You felt like someone looking for something similar to yourself. Something real.
And the view. Oh, the view. It was amazing.
You were amazing.

Are you lost somehow, drowning in the crowd?
Is it all we do just hide away the truth?

It’s hard to see beyond what’s in sight.
